Texas Small Claims Forms

Texas small claims cases are filed in Justice Court, and each county uses its own current forms. Texas has NO single mandated statewide fillable small claims petition. The Office of Court Administration prescribes a mandatory Justice Court Civil Case Information Sheet (Rule 502) that accompanies every original petition, and guided-interview petitions are offered via eFileTexas.gov and TexasLawHelp.org, but each county's JP courts publish their own Small Claims Petition. Formal pleadings other than the sworn statement of claim are not required (Gov't Code §27.060(b)(2)).
