1. Go during filing hours, not court hours. The counter is open 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday; 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Friday (building access 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday). Clerks stop accepting new filings before closing, so arriving in the last half hour is how people end up coming back.
